meniere's disease
Introduction
I was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease back in late 2000. I had
symptoms probably for years before being diagnosed, but always thought I
was just having flu-like episodes. I had never heard of this disease
before, and I was totally scared when my doctor told me that I had this.
Just hearing the word "disease" at the age of 27 was scary enough. He
informed me that it's not a life threatening disease, but it's something I
will probably have for the rest of my life. Thanks to a drug I take called
Meclizine, my attacks happen less frequently. I used to get sick 3-5 times
a month, but now I'm lucky if I get sick just once a month.
